The literature review reveals several themes in relation to the question : the palliative-curative interface & terminal care for children : quality of life issues & perspectives on suffering : ethical considerations : and problems of decision-making in professional practice. Other methods of data collection are also used to investigate dimensions of the case : analysis of press reports & a television programme about the Child B case using a critical linguistics framework : interviews with 2 Consultant Paediatric Oncologists : and an attitude survey of Children's Nurses.
