E-books

This report finds that victims who had been beatern, burnt and imprisoned in countries such as Sri lanka, iran and the Democratic republic of Congo found it "near impossible" to prove their claims in Britain's asylum system "even when they present extensive expert medical evidence". A study of 50 asylum claims by torture victims in 2014-15 found that three quarters of those refused by case workers were overturned on appeal at significant cost to the taxpayer.
