520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This is a comprehensive introduction to and overview of ageing and mental health. The authors have written a book that should be useful as a resource for faculty members, students and service providers in psychology, psychiatry, social work and nursing. It should be of interest to clinicians who are experienced mental health service providers but who have not had much experience of working with older adults, and to those who are being trained to enter the field.; The book provides detailed discussion of the reigning theoretical models of mental health, and their application to later life. These discussions are supplemented by case material that allows the reader to apply the perspectives to problems and prospects of later life, and by the most recent information on effective therapeutic techniques for working with older adults. As such, the book should help the clinician not only to conceptualize mental illness problems in later life, but also to assess and to treat these problems.
