First, the basic principles of taking a dermatological history are demonstrated in a woman with long-standing small plaque psoriasis and one with dermatitis, and their physical findings shown, along with those of a boy with atopic dermatitis and a man with large plaque psoriasis and dystrophic nails. In the discussion, the pathophysiology of psoriasis and eczema are reviewed, and the terminology used to describe skin lesions reviewed with reference to slides.
