Brilliant! Written by a Psychiatrist who has studied PTSD since the ‘70’s – this is a must read for anyone working in that area. Filled with information about how the brain works and how it impacts emotional recognition. He takes a different approach (Bottom to top rather than top to bottom) and looks at how the body stores memory – and how important it is for clients to feel safe, heard and understood. By working with the body and by exploring meaning, connection and creativity one can begin to work with trauma and explore what makes life worth living.
