Summary: There are a number of conditions which can usually be looked after outside hospital. These are called Ambulatory Care Sensitive Conditions. Emergency admissions for these conditions raise the question of how well care outside hospital is being organised. This report describes a study of admissions of people with learning disabilities for these conditions.
