The health practitioner's guide to climate change: diagnosis and cure

This book provides an introduction to the links between climate change and health. The first part of the book describes the relationship between health and the environment and sets out the benefits to health of acting on climate change. The second part describes what health practitioners can do at home and at work: how to make health services sustainable; how to design healthy, sustainable communities; how to support action in communities, nationally and globally. The book also provides information on how to help others change their behaviour to reduce their carbon emissions and improve their health. Key themes, such as the reduction of social and health inequalities, and the economic case for action, permeate the book.
